The Italian, European and Comparative Civil Law Section includes civil law, institutions of private law, comparative private law. The research fields which the Section is dedicated to are: real rights, obligations and contracts, family and inheritance law. The vocation to comparative approach and economic analysis of law is remarkable.
The Section related publications are included in the series named Private Law Studies, which was already managed by the Institute of Civil Law and which includes over 140 monographs.
The most intense international relations are entertained with the Université de Paris II, Tulane Law School, Faculté Internationale de droit comparé - Strasbourg, European Law Institute.
The section manages the PhD Program.
