Research

Research has an essential role in improving knowledge and in the achievement of significant scientific, cultural, economic and social objectives.
With this aim the Department of Private Law and History of Law promotes research by supporting own research lines, funded by the university, and by supporting actions aimed to obtain contributions and external resources.
Working constantly in a national and supranational perspective, the Department research activities are focused on critical analysis of national and international law, doctrine and jurisprudence, in an historical and comparative perspective.
With these specific purposes, the Department of Private Law and History of Law, pursuing joint research projects, also organize conferences, seminars and forum, hosting foreign professors and scholars for creating an efficient international exchanges net.
